Textile design, color, fabric, and movement

UJO is an independent French brand founded by Amandine, a textile designer and creative director. Her work explores color, patterns, and technical materials with one constant mission: to create garments that blend personal expression, long-lasting comfort, and responsible manufacturing.

A unique creative approach

Before creating UJO, Amandine evolved in worlds where clothing plays a narrative role: dance, theater costumes, festivals, and the nightlife scene. It was there that she developed a keen sensitivity for silhouettes, textures, and the way a garment can accompany a gesture, liberate movement, or reveal a personality.

In 2021, she began designing her own pieces, tired of the uniformity of classic sportswear. Her first creations were born from experimentation—prototypes tested, adjusted, and refined. 2022 marked the official birth of UJO: a brand that champions a dialogue between textile design, performance, pop culture, and retro influences.

Textile expertise and material standards

UJO’s expertise is rooted in a meticulous approach to materials and fit:

  • Rigorous selection of technical Italian velvets, lycras, and jerseys
  • Development of sculpting yet comfortable cuts
  • Real-world testing: sports, dance, roller skating, and daily life
  • Precise adjustments on prototypes through repeated fittings
  • Collaboration with specialized French workshops expert in stretch textiles

Each piece is designed to last, hold its shape, transcend seasons, and move with the body without restriction—a conscious choice against the grain of fast, standardized production.

A colorful and expressive visual signature

Our collections are inspired by 80s and 90s culture, festival wear, retro-futurism, retrowave graphics, dance, and vibrant motifs. Shapes, lines, and textures give each garment a strong visual character. For us, color is never just an aesthetic choice: it becomes a language, a mindset, and a feeling.

An independent, responsible, and committed brand

UJO relies on small-batch production to guarantee quality and prevent overproduction. Our materials come from Italian manufacturers renowned for their expertise, and assembly is handled by French and European workshops specializing in technical textiles.

  • Carefully managed small-batch production
  • Premium Italian fabrics, recycled or upcycled
  • Ethically Made in France
  • Specialized family-run workshops
  • A responsible approach to volume and packaging

Our goal: to offer a technical, comfortable, and expressive wardrobe designed to stand the test of time.

A creative and vibrant community

A community of women has grown around the brand—women who love color, movement, the stage, dance, and sports. These are individuals looking for silhouettes that tell a story, and clothing with a true identity, energy, and intention.

UJO wasn’t created to follow a trend, but to offer a living, sincere aesthetic that is constantly evolving. Each collection is an exploration: of fabric, graphics, movement, and character.

Welcome to our world.
